Ski Instructor Internship in Saas Fee

Learn and earn on your season in Switzerland

The snow-sure resort of Saas Fee in Switzerland is where the SnowSkool ski instructor course merges into a ski instructor internship. Some may say that it offers the best of both worlds: a delicious blend of ski instructor training that can be applied on the slopes, with real customers and in return for cold, hard cash - and perhaps more than you would expect to earn!

Customers on the SnowSkool Saas Fee course will be accommodated and nourished in a great 3-star hotel in Saas Grund, giving you easy access to the glacier skiing at Saas Fee. SnowSkool interns will share the great slopes at Saas Fee with many of the national teams that choose  to do their early season training there .... and you will be expertly instructed on the hallow slopes by the team at Sommet-et-Neige.

Slopes

With 150 km of pistes and skiing almost exclusively between 2500m - 3500m, Saas Fee offers arguably the most reliable autumn skiing in Europe. The resort, which usually opens in July(!), is located amongs some of Europe's highest peaks (you'll be surrounded by 18-peaks over 4000 metres!) and is a mecca for national teams looking for an early-season training venue.

Accommodation

On the SnowSkool course in Saas Fee, you will be staying in the homely Hotel Rodania in Saas Grund. As standard, you will share an en-suite bedroom with one other person on the SnowSkool course (for a supplement there is the option to have a room for yourself so please just ask if you fancy this). Hotel Rodania is a great base for your intstructor training course with an in-house bar and games room with pool table and table tennis table so you can enjoy yourself and relax after your hard days training.

Your meals will be provided in the dining room at Hotel Rodania and we will provide breakfast (7 days per week), packed lunch (5 days per week) & evening meal (5 days per week).

Tuition

Your ski instructor training will take place during November in advance of the season opening in resorts across Switzerland in December. Tuition is offered by senior ski instructors from Somme-et-Neige ski school ... all of whom have experience training SnowSkool interns to hit the ground running in December as a fully-fledged ski instructor.

Ski Instructor Work

After successful completion of your Level 1 qualification, SnowSkool students will be ready to work as a ski instructor - either staying in Switzerland or moving onto a resort in Japan or Canada. The worle really is your oyster! Please speak to one of the SnowSkool team about your options and to find out the working conditions and benefits available in the different resorts around the world.
