Our reps are in situ and our ski and snowboard instructor students are due in resort in just over a week. So, what's the snow like?
Awaiting live news from our reps who are busy settling in and getting ready to welcome our students On the Snow reports the following:
In Méribel
52 cm powder at base and 200cm hard packed at the summit - Looking good! And more (50cm) forecast over today and tomorrow followed by some clear days to enjoy skiing and snowboarding on it all. Here's a snap from a few days ago.

In Sunshine Village, Banff
Snowfall is less forthcoming in Canada at the moment, but 30 inches of machine groomed snow at the summit is giving riders enough to play on. Here's a snap from a few days ago.

In Big White
It's a similar story. A bit late opening up and the resort has also been relying on machine groomed snow at base. But it has been snowing a bit over the last couple of days and slightly bigger dumps are due on Saturday 5th and Monday 6th.
However, looking at the ski tracks and blue skies on this recent snap it's clear lots of folk are out enjoying the snow that is there. As well as the signature Big White 'snow ghosts' (snow covered trees).

So I think it's safe to say Méribel is the winner so far on the snow front. We'll look forward to getting more updates to see what changes over the season from our reps soon.
