Level 2 exams commenced in week 9! The students were battling less than ideal snow conditions meaning moguls are everywhere – but at least the goggle-tans are coming on well!
✏️ BASI Level 2 is notoriously tough. The SnowSkoolers' skiing, riding and teaching is being scrutinised in detail, so there’s no zooming down the slopes this week – something that the gang are finding mentally tiring.
✏️ Snow in the Three Valleys this year has been somewhat of a luxury and the temperatures are now well into the teens. This has made finding suitable examination terrain quite tricky – everything is moguls, ice or slush! At least we know they’re being tested to their best!
✏️ Something to aspire to, the The World Cup came to Méribel! It meant a week of competitive skiing around the Three Valleys including Chaudanne and Le Praz. SnowSkoolers even got to see the GB legend that is David Ryder.
✏️ SnowSkool Steve came to stay! He treated Chalet Camarine to some of his finest cooking and caught up with everyone to hear all about how their season has been going.
✏️ Some of the group (who will remain anonymous!) thought it would be funny to hop into another chalet’s hot tub on Friday night… needless to say, the chalet didn’t find it that funny…
✏️ A slightly tamer evening activity is Chalet Daurel’s movie night – which is becoming a real hit!
