We’re officially half way through the instructor course in Méribel (sob!), but this week was marked by France’s decision to lift COVID restrictions in clubs, bars and venues… it’s a no-brainer that we celebrate accordingly!
✏️ As the French Government lifted COVID restrictions, the SnowSkoolers were able to enjoy their first ‘proper’ night out (featuring dancing, singing and bar service) at Sully’s. They also got involved with the open mic night at Brewer’s Den. The new rules (or lack of rules) means singing, dancing and simply standing up with your drink is all now allowed at après too!
✏️ On snow, the students are working to complete their required work shadowing time. This means joining lessons with the public and observing the qualified instructors. The SnowSkoolers were allocated lessons all across the Three Valleys and worked with a range of ages and abilities. Only when the shadowing is completed, can students progress to the Level 2 exam.
✏️ In fact, some of our sister company’s guests (The Chalet Company) had Owen and Max join their lessons. The boys received some fantastic feedback from these clients via The Chalet Company staff, which was great to hear.
✏️ Everyone signed up to do their Level 2 exam in march, so it’s full steam ahead to complete the shadowing and get training. Level 2 is significantly more intense that Level 1, but this year’s students are crushing it so far!
✏️ The first aid course also wrapped up this week. Everyone passed and received a digital certificate. Hopefully these skills won’t actually be required any time soon!
✏️ The final note in my report back from France is that “Joe and Will made some furry friends” - I will leave you with that!
