Week 2 of Snowskool was another great week
After receiving a solid dump of snow the previous week, the weekend and the first half of the week was spent maximising the A+ conditions on the mountain. From Courchevel to Val Thorens, there were pockets where the Snowskoolers got to experience the best of both on and off piste skiing.
On Tuesday, Tomas and Nathan headed to Pointe De La Masse and scored epic conditions notching up 30kms of great skiing. Sophie, Siobhan, Ollie, Sean and others headed to the top of Val Thorens and had fun on a mixture of red and blue pistes.
The Snowboarders
... including Jack, Charlie and Eddie headed to the terrain park to try out their Flips, Jumps and rotations.
Later in the week we experienced some warmer weather and whilst the snow quality was not as good, the Snowskoolers still made the most of their lessons. Particular standouts were Travis and Cydney who were very competent running their lesson.
Off Mountain
Activities included Sully’s Bar Wednesdays, PUB open mic night and a trip to the swimming pool where Jamie and others frolicked in the warmth of the Olympic centre.
After a week jam packed with a mixture of on/off mountain activities, the students were blessed with Lasagna on Social Saturday – a night where we all had dinner together in chalet Daurel (yes, a little squishy but fun nonetheless).
Week 3 here we come!!
It is the start of our level 1 BASI assessments – slightly daunting but the students are well prepared and ready to take on the challenge.
More news soon!
