Week 3
... saw the Snowskoolers having lots of early nights and minimal partying while Level 1 exams took priority, how responsible! After a few good nights sleep and some hearty breakfasts, the snowskoolers headed into their exams with lots of energy and positive attitudes... that paid off with almost everyone passing!
Friday saw some big celebrations and a night in the town, before heading into the first free skiing week…and what a way to start the free skiing off with a fresh (long-awaited) dump of snow and a few beautiful bluebird days! Some big ski days, with lots of opportunities for everyone to show their skills, a few trips to Canmore and an upcoming trip to lake Louise, everyone’s having lots of fun here in Banff.
Partying was also back into full swing with wine Wednesday, karaoke Friday and the discovery of happy hour at Anejo’s ($6 margaritas and $3 tacos - you can’t go wrong!). Everyone’s been getting their Level 2 exams booked. We can’t wait for training to start again.
Week 4
... comes to an end with the avalanche safety practical going on over the course of the weekend, where students get to grips with new equipment and grapple with touring skis for their first time. Good luck to them!
